Biography
Soprano Maëlys Robinne began her artistic training in France, where she started both dance and singing, disciplines that captivated her from a young age due to their expressive power. After obtaining her professional dance diploma, she chose to pursue studies in singing. Her passion for early music led her to join the prestigious Centre de Musique Baroque in Versailles. She continued her lyrical singing studies at the Paris Conservatory and the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya, specializing in classical interpretation and opera. Recently, she completed her vocal and musical training with Carlos Mena at the Schola Cantorum in Basel.
Maëlys collaborates with international ensembles such as the Capella Nacional (Jordi Savall), Bach Collegium Japan (Masaaki Suzuki), Bachcelona Consort (Daniel Tarrida), La Cetra (Andrea Marcon), Bach Collegium Barcelona (Pau Jorquera), and Vox Luminis (Lionel Meunier), among others. As a soloist, she performs works by Vivaldi, Handel, Pergolesi, Haydn, Mozart, Schubert, Bach, Fauré, Mendelssohn, and more.
Her commitment to musical excellence led to her receiving the 2023 Salvat Bach Scholarship, a recognition of her expertise in the vocal repertoire of Bach.
Maëlys is not limited to a single repertoire. Her versatility also allows her to shine in more contemporary vocal works, especially those from the 20th and 21st centuries, with the trio Sonoïra. For her, singing is not just a vocal expression, but a way of communicating emotions and telling stories through the universal language of music. Her passion for the performing arts and commitment to beauty are evident in every one of her performances, reflecting a deep connection to poetry, literature, and dance.
